This introductory program covers the purpose and core elements of an information security management system and explains how ISO/IEC 27001:2022 supports risk-based protection of organizational information. It provides a foundation for later implementation or audit pathways.

- Day 1 — Introduction to ISMS fundamentals.
- Day 2 — ISMS requirements and Foundation examination.
Prerequisites
PECB lists no prerequisites for the Foundation course.
Exam & Certification
PECB Certificate Holder in ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Foundation may be requested after meeting course, examination and Code of Ethics requirements. It is not a Lead qualification.
Official PECB exam scheduling, rescheduling, certification, retake and other rules apply. Review the current PECB requirements before enrolling.
